Metung walking tracks

In Metung we are fortunate to have many walking tracks throughout the village.  Yesterday I decided it was about time I got back to trying to improve my fitness.  I went for a walk on one of the tracks and was gone for about 45 minutes.

I posted yesterday about seeing an echidna, well it must be the time for seeing native wildlife.  I spotted this fellow on Beach Road.

I couldn’t get a closer shot as I was only using my phone for the photograph. In this case the kookaburra is on the road sign not the gum tree!

This is one of the unusual vines along the pathway.

The pathways are pretty and there are plenty to choose from.

You are a great tourism promoter for Metung! Is the weather as gorgeous there as it is here at the moment? 27 in the pool and my first swim for the summer yesterday.

Today we have rain. Went for a lovely long walk with Joanne and Peter, before the rain arrived. We followed our walk with lunch at the Metung Pub then a walk home for lemon tart and home raspberries. The rain is making the garden look even better.

  2. Lovely….how soon can you go for another walk? I’d be going every day.
