Final RWC update

“Bill” or the William Webb Ellis Trophy now belongs to New Zealand for the next four years.  We were treated to a nail-biting match for the final of the World Cup Tournament.  France certainly brought the right team along for the final and at one stage I thought Les Bleus were going to cause an upset.  An extremely close game with the final score 8-7.  New Zealand can now say they have won the cup twice, the same as Australia.

What a fantastic final. Probably the best ever as most have been rather boring while this was edge of your seat stuff. I thought France were the better team on the night but the All Blacks defended so well especially in the second half. C’est la vie!

And as Nick Mcardle said, the All Blacks went through the tournament undefeated. Deserving winners I guess.
