Busy books or quiet books?

I am taking part in a Sew Along on the Web.  I haven’t done this before and I find that I am really enjoying it.  The sew along started when I still had the grandchildren here so I have had to do a bit of catching up.

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about I will explain.  I saw this post for a quiet book sew along on the blog Girl Inspired.

thought it would be a great way of getting something done to a timetable.  I tend to flit from one project to another so I thought this would ensure I kept up with the task in hand.

I had most of the bits and pieces required although I did have to buy some iron on velcro and a 5 inch zipper.  I will also have to buy some hair accessories for braiding the princess’s hair!

Here are a few photos of what I have done so far.  This is the front cover.

The counting the ladybirds page.

The eight little ladybirds fit into the zippered pocket.

The princess who has her hair braided.

As you can see I don’t have hair accessories, something I will need to buy so I can put some in this princess’s purse.

These are lovely! What a great idea. My daughter would go gaga for the princess 🙂
