It is quite some time since I last did a post as I seem to have been a bit busy. I just don’t know where the time goes? Do you have that problem? You think you have all the time in the world and then the date has crept up on you. I am talking about Christmas here. Yesterday I finally got around to doing some Christmas cooking. I made a Sienna Cake and a Christmas Cake. The Sienna Cake has become part of the family tradition. When our eldest daughter was living in London I used to post a cake to her and since then we have had Sienna Cake every Christmas.
My Christmas Cake this year is a last minute cake. Usually I make a cake where the mixture has to stand for six weeks but this year it is a boiled fruit cake. Tomorrow I will probably make some shortbread.
I finally got around to making the Christmas wreath for the front door. I usually use a dried grape vine wreath as a base and decorate that but this year I have done something a bit different. I saw this wreath
on the blog the Red Thread and thought I would give it a go. You can see that I have used far too many leaves on my wreath but I am happy with the result.
I like both of wreaths.
