Tiddalik the frog on our bike ride

A well known Aboriginal legend is the story of Tiddalik the frog.  If you want to know more about the legend of Tiddalik and why it is relevant to Gippsland just click here. On our bike ride to Bruthen I was surprised to find this mural depicting the legend.   On previous bike rides this building was just a very plain red brick box.  How much nicer it looks now.

We had very good friends staying with us and Bob wanted to do a bike ride on the rail trail so we did the Bumberrah to Bruthen part of the rail trail.  Our friends had come from northern New South Wales and didn’t have their bikes so only two of us could do the bike ride.  We met the others at Bruthen and had a cider at the Bullant Brewery before we rode back to the truck to take the bikes home.

We finished off the ride by collecting some beautiful blueberries at the local blueberry farm.
