I did a previous post where I mentioned I was sewing a brunch coat and I didn’t realise that it is a term that is not often used these days.  It is just a short, loose, summer dressing gown.

This is the pattern of the one I was making. The pattern belongs to my daughter.  She had made a dressing gown from this many years ago.

I decided I would give view 1 a go and use up some fabric that I had in my stash.  The pattern had been cut in a size 12 so I added a bit to hopefully make it fit my size.  In the end I think I have added a bit too much but the coat is certainly loose and comfortable.  It will do.
