I am thoroughly enjoying retirement and spending time with my husband. We have the opportunity to do things together that we didn’t have while the family was growing up at home. They are all now well and truly independent with their own families or living on their own.
When I am happiest is when I have my family with me. It is rare that we are all together at the same time and I relish any opportunity to have members of the family stay with us.
This weekend we are really lucky as our two daughters and their families are coming to spend the weekend with us. It is great to spend time just relaxing. No pressure to attend any special appointments or to be anywhere for a specific event. Just spending time together.
I think the older you get the more you realise how precious the time is that you spend with your family. The grandchildren in particular seem to grow up so quickly I want to cherish the time while they are young and so loving. All too soon they will be teenagers! Enough said.

Could not agree more. Have a great long weekend with the family and send our love to all.We are loving being with Patrick and Beck at the super house swap in Coff’s 5 mins walk from the beach. Gill is coming up for the weekend but unfortunately Matt is working.
