Is it a stick or is it two sticks?

on

I was in the garden the other day when I spotted this huge stick insect in one of the bushes. It is about 26 cms long or 10 1/2 inches in the old measurement.

On closer inspection I found that there were actually two of them.

That’s amazing. I have never seen any that long.

I just thought the first one was a branch on the bush. The second one was easier to spot.

I liked your post but it’s hard to “like” a stick bug that long, lol. We call them Walking Sticks. Here in the US, 2″ is a very big one. Lucky they eat the bad bugs and don’t bite people!

I have to admit I am not fond of insects at all but I was impressed by the size of these two.

  3. Wow, they’re monsters! Well spotted, their camouflage is incredible.

We see small ones more frequently but these two were huge.

  4. Wow, What a great catch, I really had to look closely. They’re huge!

Always plenty of insect life in Australia.
