I was in the garden the other day when I spotted this huge stick insect in one of the bushes. It is about 26 cms long or 10 1/2 inches in the old measurement.
On closer inspection I found that there were actually two of them.
The second one wasn’t quite as large. Apparently stick insects are good for the garden.
That’s amazing. I have never seen any that long.
I just thought the first one was a branch on the bush. The second one was easier to spot.
I liked your post but it’s hard to “like” a stick bug that long, lol. We call them Walking Sticks. Here in the US, 2″ is a very big one. Lucky they eat the bad bugs and don’t bite people!
I have to admit I am not fond of insects at all but I was impressed by the size of these two.
Wow, they’re monsters! Well spotted, their camouflage is incredible.
We see small ones more frequently but these two were huge.
