Frogging is now being made into chevrons

on

A while back I posted about frogging a jumper that I had knitted many years ago.  I had frogged the wool but hadn’t got around to washing it so the wool memory would be lost. I have now washed the wool.

washed woolI also needed to purchase some yellow wool for the project I was about to start and I have now bought the wool.  The project is a chevron rug.  I think I first saw the pattern for this on Pinterest.

This next picture is how the wool looks if it is worked without having been washed.  It produces a rather crinkly result.

You can see how much better it is if you use wool that has been washed already.

This is what I call an on-going project in that I do this when I am not on any other project.  I do have some lovely wool that I want to knit up but haven’t found a pattern that I want to do yet.

Thanks Megsy. I am really pleased with the stitch. I usually do crochet in trebles but this one is in doubles and through only one loop of the stitch below. It makes a lovely pattern.

I love this one! I have used the same technic to potholders. I think it will make a blanket thick and cozy! Will keep this in mind to next time! Thank you for sharing it with me!
