This weekend the Lakes Oil Tour of Gippsland finishes a stage here in Metung. Two years ago we accidentally came across the finish when we were out for a walk but this year I know that it is taking place so I will be prepared for the finish.
Note the description, taken from the national road series website, says, “the coastal township of Metung, a stunning little secret tucked away alongside the Gippsland Lakes.”:-)
A stunning little secret? How delightful! 🙂
I love the end of a race – what does being prepared mean to you? I’d have flags, cow bells (I’ve got some from the TDU), a stool (for the waiting time) and camera. Enjoy the atmosphere!
Thanks Tamara. I will have my camera at the ready. I hope the weather is kind to us.
