A bike ride to Bairnsdale on a beautiful day

This particular bike ride I did with my granddaughter. I have done this route many times now but this was the first time I have done the ride with a grandchild. We packed the bikes on the car and set off to Nicholson where we unloaded and set off on the rail trail.

BairnsdaleI think my granddaughter was glad when we reached Bairnsdale as it was a fair ride for her and it was quite a warm day. This was the furthest bike ride she had done.

We passed a section of the rail trail where they graze cattle occasionally and EJ was interested in the sign and the method of keeping the cattle in.

I was able to record the ride on the irunner so we could see how fast we had gone etc. We tried to beat our record on the way home but I think we were a little weary.

This is the trip to Bairnsdale.

  1. The weather looks absolutely beautiful, your photos make me want to escape the chill in Scotland and hot foot it to Oz.
