Bathrooms, builders and business as usual

Progress report 1

After living in our present house for five years we have finally started our bathroom renovations.  When we bought this house the decor throughout the house was entirely peach.  Slowly but surely we have eliminated the peach but the two trickiest things to do are the bathrooms and the floor coverings.

We have now embarked on bathroom one and I have included some photos to show you the “Before” and hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to show you the “After”.

The arch had saloon doors on it when we first moved in, they were the first thing to go!

The builders have been working now for three days and the progress is obvious.

two walls removedThe two walls of the toilet have been removed as have the floor tiles, vanity unit and built in robe.

built in robe goneA new stud wall has been put in.

stud wallThe arch has been squared off, ready for two new doors, one for the robe and one for the ensuite.

two rooms nowThe plumbers have been in to redirect the pipes so it is now ready for sheeting out.

This great work is being done by XZR Constructions who are a local company.

While all this is happening we are using one of the other bedrooms and the main bathroom.

Thank you Emma. We will be doing the main bathroom too so you will see a big change next time you are down here. Xxx

  2. I don’t know why, but I can’t see any of your pictures. It sounds like quite a big job though, and one that you’ll be pleased with when it’s all finished.

Sorry you can’t see the pictures. I checked on the site and they are visible here. I don’t know what the issue is.

      1. Strange. I tried again but I still can’t see them. It must be something wrong my end.
