The summer holidays are a time when Metung has an influx of visitors. We have had mixed weather so far during the holidays but for a few days it was really quite warm and that is when the park shows what a godsend the revamp was. The park upgrade was officially opened in March 2015.
The park is now an enjoyable place to be and the surroundings are relaxing. Ideal for a barbeque or picnic. Many families were taking the opportunity to make the most of the park.
The plants look as though they have been there for ever, it is hard to believe that it was only a year ago that they were planted.
The bright green strip in the foreground has been put down to eliminate the muddy stretch between the water and the grass and it has certainly solved that problem.
I am sure the family who originally donated the land for the park would be delighted with its new look.

I haven’t been to Metung in years but I have very fond memories of the place. Nice to see upgrades.
The park has really been the hub of the village this summer.
