Wheel trouble

I took my bike out for a ride last week and I found I was finding I had more difficulty riding than I usually do.  It was harder to make the pedals turn round and the back wheel seemed to be catching on something.

When I got home I checked out the bike but I couldn’t find anything obvious but I thought the back wheel might be a bit warped.  When I went to Bairnsdale that day I visited the bike shop and booked the bike in to be fixed.  The guy reckoned it might be a broken spoke but I hadn’t seen a broken spoke but I still made the booking for him to check it out.

When I got home I told my husband about the bike and he went to have a look at it.

Sure enough, there is the broken spoke.

The bike is now on the back of the car ready for the trip to the bike shop.  I had to ride my husband’s bike when I did my last ride with the bike group and I really didn’t feel comfortable on it so I will be glad when I get my fixed bike back.
