There have been some wonderful reviews of the most recent Shetland series showing on BBC ONE.  Series four had its final episode this week.

Shetland the unsung hero of British crime

Those of you who have followed my blog for a while will know that I have read all of Ann Cleeves books.  Her books are terrific crime fiction.  Some of her novels are set in Shetland and form the basis for the screenplays for the series Shetland.  You can find out all about her books relating to the Shetland series here.

I have watched series 1-3 and I am now waiting impatiently for series 4. Unfortunately we will not get to see it here in Australia for a while yet.  We cannot access the BBC iplayer here in Australia and we have to wait until it is available on Foxtel or even longer to wait for it on the ABC.

I just downloaded Raven Black to my iPad. After reading your blog I decided it might be one of those must-read books/series

I hope you love it. I certainly got hooked with the first book of hers that I read.

‘Shetland’ just finished last night in UK. It’s a goodie, best so far, and includes Norway, another of my favourite places.

I can’t wait for it to be available here in Australia.
