The first museum that we visited on our trip was the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. There was a Charles Rennie Macintosh exhibition there so I was keen to go.
Unfortunately the exhibition had finished but there was still an impressive array of Mackintosh work in the Museum.
The work of his wife, Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, was also on show.
The museum kept us occupied for most of the day and I highly recommend a visit if you are in Glasgow. It is certainly an impressive building and entry is free.
This fellow was the mascot for the Commonwealth Games in 2014.This is the story of the mascot, narrated by Billy Connolly.
I’ve only been to Kelvingrove once but I remember being very impressed by it.
We had a wonderful time there. It is certainly a beautiful building.
