When we were last in Canberra I had every intention of coming home with an electric bike but that was not to be. I need to do a great deal more research before I make a commitment. Having said that, we went to Bungendore to revisit our old haunts and there is a new shop in the village. Bspoke bicycles. He only had one ebike in stock but he was very kind in sharing his knowledge of what to look out for in an electric bike. There are so many aspects that need to be considered. Meanwhile check out this custom electric bike he had on display at the front of his shop. Very stylish.

What is the attraction of an electric bicycle?
As I am now 70 and I ride with a group of women, some of whom are much younger that me, I have managed to keep up with them but I am sure that in the future I may have difficulty doing so. An electric bike means I can have a bit of assistance when the hills get too difficult for me!
