While our elder daughter and her family were visiting they wanted to try their hand at a bit of fishing. They used one of my husband’s fishing rods and some hand reels that they already had. We went down to the boardwalk in the hope of catching some fish but if not then they would enjoy the serenity of watching the water.
Our daughter had been fishing before with her dad so she was showing the other two how to bait the line.
Here she is showing our grandson how the line is cast using a reel.
They did catch a couple of tiny fish which were immediately thrown back.
It wasn’t the warmest of days but I think they enjoyed themselves.
