My elder daughter bought dahlia tubers last year and grew some beautiful dahlias and she inspired me to buy some tubers and try for myself.
I was able to find a local grower who sold tubers so I was good to go.
I bought three tubers to begin this year and see how I get on.

Black Embers
Cafe au Lait
Gange
I planted the tubers in the vegetable garden to make sure that they will get regular watering during summer.
The Gange tuber was the last to sprout. You can see that I have put down snail bait to make sure the new shoots weren’t eaten. I hope I get some beautiful dahlias.
