This is a book I have mentioned in previous posts I have written, this time it is about beetroot.
We have managed to successfully grow some beetroot over winter and now is the time to bottle some of our produce.
Some of the plants were ready to harvest whereas others have a bit more growing to do.
You can see there is a variety in size but they will cook up the same. I steam them before bottling rather than boiling them. It took about 20 minutes for the smaller ones and an extra 20 minutes for the largest one.
This is the recipe I used.
Delighted with the result as we now have beetroot ready for summer salads.
