I have “well proportioned” feet, rather than saying BIG! It never ceases to amaze me that it is such a difficult task to find shoes that fit. In some of the big department stores they only stock women’s shoes up to size 41 so my size doesn’t even rate a mention. I say all this because my daughter took me to a shoe shop in Melbourne that stocks shoes my size and I can have them in any colour I want from a huge range of colours.
The shop is called Habbot . The have a website where you can find out how to customise your shoes. You can find pictures of shoes that have been customised by other customers here.
I love the fact that you can make them how you would like them to be. The only downfall is the price. They are very expensive but I guess if it was for a “one off” pair and you knew how comfortable they were going to be you would be willing to splurge a bit. 🙂
I tried on a pair while in the shop and I got a swatch card of the available leather colours so I will play about with them and perhaps as a special treat to myself I will get a pair at some time in the future.
These are the shoes I tried on.The shoes were so comfortable.
I know all about this dilemma, though not as much as my sister. It’s always exciting finding a shop you can walk into knowing they will have something in your size.
My daughter has the same issue and we both sympathise with each other when we can’t find the shoes we need.
